AutoSuggest: An AJAX auto-complete text field - The AutoSuggest class adds a popdown menu of suggested values to a text field. The user can either click directly on a suggestion to enter it into the field, or navigate the list using the up and down arrow keys, selecting a value using the tab key. The values for the suggestion list are to provided as XML (by a PHP script, or similar).

Ajax Workshop 3: Shopping Cart using Script.aculo.us - This workshop we will be building a shopping cart that’s Ajax powered. This will be a drag and drop shopping cart using the Script.aculo.us JavaScript library. We will also be using PHP on the back end to store the user’s shopping cart in sessions.

Unobtrusive AJAX Star Rating Bar - This is a rating bar script done with PHP and mySQL that allows users to rate things like can be done on Netflix or Amazon, all web 2.0-like with no page refresh.

An AJAX contact form - It’s a bit over the top… well… for a contact form that is. But yesterday morning I decided that I wanted to have a little fun so I put together an unobtrusive AJAX contact form (works even with JavaScript disabled).

AJAX Slidshow - I’ve been thinking about creating an AJAX-based slideshow for a while, and today it happened! Today I wrote my first line of code in this project (probably not the last one), but for the moment I feel very content with the results. The code is probably not perfect, but I’m going more for the concept here. The tweaking options are endless.

Sortable Tables with AJAX - This is an example of how one might use MochiKit to do sortable tables from data given by the server in either JSON or XML format. It uses MochiKit.Async to fetch the data, and MochiKit.DOM to display it.

Smooth Gallery - A very nice gallery… it’s smooth?

AjaxWp - An AJAX enhancement for WordPress blogs - AjaxWp is a lightweight JavaScript enhancement that adds AJAX functionality to WordPress blogs speeding up load times, increasing the responsiveness of the user interface and giving the blog an overall cooler look.

What would a”Top 10″ list be without a “Top 10″ list in the, uh, list? To that end, here are the Top 10 custom JavaScript functions of all time. It’s true.
